The Elektronika MK 46 is an advanced programmable calculator featuring a voltage input (0 to +- 10 V) and outputs designed to control simple production processes. The Elektronika MK 46 was intended strictly for institutional use and was not available for purchase by the general public. The Elektronika MK 46 features a 12-digit, 7-segment Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). Its logic and memory utilize various small-scale integrated circuits (SSI), such as the К161 and К172 series, as well as a variety of p-MOS large-scale integrated circuits (LSI) from the К501 and КР145 series. The chips from various Soviet manufacturers are dated between 1983 and 1984. The К145ИК1801 is a particularly interesting chip because it bridges the gap between a standard calculator processor and a basic industrial PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Its ability to handle eight sensors makes it more of a "process controller" than a simple calculator. The К145ИК1801 is a controller specifically designed for solving control problems with spatial-temporal adaptation to external device parameters. This microcircuit provides several advanced features: automatic switching control for eight analog or digital sensors, automatic output of calculation results to a digital printing device or indicator board, software control of input/output information, and an emergency alarm signal if calculation results exceed a specified range. This specific calculator was a valuable asset at the Oil Shale Research Institute (Põlevkivi Teadusliku Uurimise Instituut) in the city of Kohtla-Järve in former Soviet Estonia. It bears a inventory number 59115 on the case. Weight: 2,5 kg Dimensions: 27 x 31,5 x 9 cm. | ||||
