The Б3-19М scientific calculator, marketed under the Elektronika brand name, is a clone of the RFT Konkret 600, which was manufactured by VEB Röhrenwerk Mühlhausen and introduced around 1974.* Tony's Taschenrechner-Sammlung Calculator-Collection The Б3-19М was manufactured in East Germany. The keyboard's circuit board bears stamps indicating East German origin (DDR; TKO geprüft), while the main circuit board features two Soviet calculator chips: К145ИК4П and К145ИК3П, combined with a К1ГФ651 clock generator chip (also of Soviet origin). Both ICs were also utilized in the German RFT Konkret 600 calculator. Interestingly, the factory tag on the back of the case refers to the "Kalkulator" factory located in the city of Svetlovodsk (Svitlovodsk) in the former Ukrainian SSR. This is a fascinating piece of hardware, the collaboration between East Germany and the USSR on microelectronics created a very unique "hybrid" device. The calculator is powered by four rechargeable batteries (Д-0,55С). It is equipped with an East German power supply unit featuring a Schuko-type plug, a standard that was not commonly used in the Soviet Union until the late 1980s. A previous owner's name, "Nõmm," is scratched onto the bottom alongside the marking "EF. 9067," which was likely the inventory number of the institution where it was used. The calculator was acquired from the city of Tartu, Estonia in 2021. IC type: К145ИК3П, К145ИК4П Weight: 190g Dimensions: 167 x 81 x 41 mm | ||||
