The electromechanical calculator VK-2 is a 10-key (Dalton keyboard) electric motor operated calculator. The mechanism is based on an inverted Odhner's pinwheel-type calculator (moving setting register instead of the moving result/revolution carriage). The model VK-2 is a clone of Swedish Facit NEA from 1943-1956; Soviet version was manufactured from 1951 to the late 1970s. Unfortunately no further information can be found about possible licence purchase by the soviets from Facit. The present machine is the early version of VK-2, manufactured in Tula factory.
