The VK-2M is a very rare specimen of the Soviet electromechanical calculator. It is a clone of a Swedish Facit CS1-13 from 1956–1965. The Soviet version was manufactured in small quantities in the early 1960s. As with the VK-2 model, no further information about possible licensing from the Swedish Facit factory can be found for the VK-2M. This machine was discovered by a construction worker in the attic of a building scheduled for demolition at a former collective farm in Võnnu, Southern Estonia. The main difference with the previous model VK-2, is that instead of manual register clearing levers, VK-2M has motorised keys I, II, II to clear registers. But once more, it is a exact clone of Facit CS1-13. | ||||
